J. Henry Montes
Outreach, Training, and Technical Assistance Director
Mr. Montes has more than 30 years of experience working in the public health field. His particular expertise is working with issues and programs in minority health related to health education and promotion, disease prevention, and the public health workforce. As Outreach, Training, and Technical Assistance Director at TMN, Mr. Montes provides technical advice, conducts reviews, and performs analyses on a variety of public health related issues. Selected support includes conducting environmental scans and scheduling meetings with senior staff and potential Federal government clients in the public health field. He makes connections and establishes agendas for meetings with officials of the HHS Office of Public Health Science, the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in collaboration with TMN senior staff to market specific ideas as well as introducing the company and its capabilities. Mr. Montes also carefully completes analyses of internal documents to ensure they contain information relevant for the needs of Federal health agencies.
Prior to joining TMN, Mr. Montes served as Associate Director of Minority Health for the National Center for Preventive Services and as Acting Deputy Director for the Public Health Practice Program Office for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
